On August 30, 2004, EPA announced 19 new facilities from 11 states and Puerto Rico for membership in Performance Track.

EPA also welcomes the Brookhaven National Laboratory, Upton, New York, which has committed to restoring and conserving 30 acres of habitat, and Yankee Freedom – Dry Tortugas National Park Ferry, Key West, Florida, the first ferry service to join the program. The first facilities from Kansas and Nevada joined Performance Track in this round: the Wichita Rockwell Collins Service Center in Wichita, Kansas; Black Canyon Willow Beach River Adventures, Boulder City, Nevada; and the Cottonwood Cove Resort and Marina, Searchlight, Nevada.

Performance Track now represents 45 states and Puerto Rico.
